Hot on the heels of a tea-cosy

Hot on the heels of the fabulous Rosie Posy Tea Cosy comes our second free downloadable pattern ... Toddler Socks!

Yes, I know, we've been talking about socks non-stop since we launched our website, but who could resist these?  They're ultra-cute, very quick to make, and a brilliant way to use up all those leftovers from a winter of knitting socks for grown-ups.

They'll make lovely easy-to-post stocking-fillers (sorry!) for any little Northern Hemisphere friends this Christmas.  In fact, if today's weather is anything to go by, they'll go down pretty well DownUnder this summer too!

Just like last week, if you want to download and print the pattern, you'll need to register as a customer at our new online shop.  But the good news is that if you've already dowloaded Rosie Posy, all you'll need to do is log in!

While you're there, why not check out the stock we've been adding to the online shop this week:
  • yarns from Filatura di Crosa, Opal, Noro, Jo Sharp, Sublime, Australian Organic...
  • Sublime pattern books
  • and (of course), much, much more...!
If you have any dramas, questions or comments, just drop us a line...

We're listening!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our recent online survey!

The results showed that every single person who voted wants to be able to download patterns from the Wool Addiction website.  And, 70% of voters want to be able to buy yarn online, check stock levels, and read product reviews.

Well, your wish is our command ... we have made all these dreams come true by launching our new Wool Addiction Online Store!

To celebrate the launch we have spoken to Loani Prior, author of Wild Tea Cosies, and she has kindly allowed us to add her lovely Rosie Posy Tea Cosy pattern to our new shop as a FREE download.

All you need to do to get your own copy, is visit the Wool Addiction Online Store, add a Rosie Posy to your shopping cart, and enter your details.

Don't forget to make a note of the password you choose - you'll be able to log in and download the pattern again if you lose it.

Once you've whipped up your new 'cosy, why not come back and write a review to let other Wool Addicts know what you think?

And please feel free to drop us a line with any questions, comments or suggestions about the new shop - we're always delighted to hear from you!

Be careful what you wish for...

We're busy making plans for ways to improve our website.

For a bit of fun, we've popped a survey on the right-hand side of our blog, so you can tick the boxes to tell us what you'd like us to add.

If you have an idea that's not listed, please feel free to post a comment on the blog, or drop us an email. We'd love to know what you think...

We have some great new Art Viva kits arriving soon at Wool Addiction!

These whimsical kits are are perfect for beginners, as they are bright, fun, and easy to knit. And best of all, the yarn is 100% organic yarn, from happy Australian Merino sheep, and is coloured with natural dyes, making it perfect for knitting for babies.

There are 5 gorgeous original designs by Art Viva's Louise Willie: two tea-cosies topped with a little knitted tea-cup and saucer, and three different baby/toddler beanie hats topped with pumpkin stems, cherries leaves, and lemur tails!

Each kit contains a 50g ball of 100% organic Australian Merino wool, extra bits for the embellishments, and an original Art Viva easy-to-knit pattern.

For someone special, the kit is available presented in a Noodle box, complete with a set of Art Viva's trademark Tasmanian Oak needles (5mm/20cm), disguised as chopsticks! A lovely gift for $39.95.

Alternatively, if you already have the right needles, you can opt for the kit in simpler packaging, without the needles for just $25.00.
