Knit at the flicks!

Want to knit somewhere new next Sunday?

Well, last week we heard about an event we think all you Wool Addicts may enjoy ... a knit-along sing-along showing of Calamity Jane!

The organisers of Young at Heart 09, Sydney's Fourth Seniors Film Festival, have decided that they'd like to encourage Doris Day fans of all ages to bring their knitting to the Dendy Opera Quays on Sunday 22 March at 10.30am.

Tickets are $10 for youngsters, or just $3 if you can prove you're over 60, and can be purchased by phone on 02 9247 3800 or in person at the Dendy Opera Quays box Office.

If you'd like to catch up with some other Wool Addicts at the Dendy, drop us a line, and we'll organise a meeting place.

Hair today, gone tomorrow...

Well, the shampoo bills have been drastically cut at Wool Addiction today, with Jill and her daughter Helene both having their heads shaved for the Leukaemia Foundation.

They are on target to raise in excess of $8,000, so a huge thank-you to all the friends, neighbours and Wool Addiction customers who have donated so generously.

If you weren't able to come to Bowral today, you can still make a donation on Jill's page on the World's Greatest Shave website.

Not long to go...

11.30am, Saturday 14th March

Jill and her daughter Helene will both be shaving their heads for the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave at 11.30am on Saturday 14th March.

If you would like to show your support, please come along and give them a cheer as they lose their locks in Springett's Arcade, Bowral, NSW.

Jill's goal is to raise $5,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. If you'd like to help, please consider sponsoring her.

The funds raised will help the Leukaemia Foundation to continue providing practical care and support to patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. It will also fund research into better treatments and hopefully cures.

For more information about the event, and about leukaemia, please visit the World's Greatest Shave website.
